Perfectly situated, enjoying a waterfront location with panoramic views overlooking Marine Lake, Sandpipers Care Centre is a purpose built care home that provides a warm and friendly setting for up to 34 people, with specialist units caring for younger adults.

The bedrooms are large and enjoy shower ensuites. Whilst we encourage individual belongings / furnishings, all rooms are beautifully decorated as standard.

As well a personalised care programme, residents at Sandpipers will enjoy a wide range of activities as well as access to our hydrotherapy pool with views across the marine Lake.

All of the food at Sandpipers is prepared and cooked on site using fresh fruit and vegetables. It is incredibly important to us that every resident has their dietary needs catered for and all receive a healthy, well balanced, nutritious diet.

Care Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide each resident with a care package care whilst maximising their independence and maintaining their dignity. Moving to a new home is incredibly stressful for anyone, but for someone in need of extra care, the emotional and physical challenges can be difficult to manage. Our staff prioritises easing the transition and are on-hand to listen to any ideas loved ones offer to help make the move as smooth as possible.  

We assess each new resident and tailor a personal care plan for them, ensuring that we provide the care that they need. This plan is evaluated monthly to ensure we offer the best complete holistic care available, which includes dementia care where applicable.

Staff Development
We are committed to providing the highest standard of care. Each staff member is DBS checked and receives a comprehensive induction programme when joining our team. All staff must either hold or be working towards their NVQ in Health and Social Care and are subject to further training to be sure we provide the best care available. We are currently training our staff in managing physical and challenging behaviour.

Local Amenities
A seaside town with sophisticated charm and character, Southport is home to the world renowned ‘Lord Street’, a wonderful shopping experience with boutiques, designer names, and high street brands. As we are situated close by, we encourage residents and their families to engage in organised outings and take some time to explore the quaint town.

Activities
Southport is a hive of activity and plays host to a full season of top-class events and activities from food to flying to fireworks. We arrange regular trips into the town and have special organised social occasions planned throughout the year. We also have two large lounges and a dedicated cinema room if residents would prefer to stay within the care home. Our garden overlooks the Marine Lake and seating areas have been provided for privacy whilst taking in the views.

All of the meals at Sandpipers are prepared using fresh fruit and vegetables and are designed to provide each resident with well-balanced nourishment. Food nutrition is an important aspect of the care we provide, so dietary wants and needs are fully respected and well accommodated.
